Don’t Just Go To Church, Be The Church

This is the get down, get dirty, in your face type ministry. This is the next step, the director’s cut, the bonus features, the dvd extras, the line in the sand, the unrated version of true worship. Want to know, want some ideas, looking for more in life? Then this is for you.

The Purpose…

Worship Unrated is designed to get the Christian out of the chair and into the world living in Christ. Christians can be tempted to become “church-goers” instead of “doers” of the Word. We’re going to challenge that head on. Worship Unrated has been created to help you to start thinking outside the box of Sunday morning services and to challenge you to be creatively living out the Word. Every week you’ll get fresh ideas on how you can apply the Bible into every day life, ultimately developing a lifestyle of worship to God.

David was dancing in celebration to God. His wife, Michal accused him because of his acts of worship, saying that they were a dishonoring public act, something “any vulgar fellow would” do. David’s response was decided. He didn’t care. His worship to God was what mattered most, not how people viewed him. “I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes.” – 2 Samuel 6:22a. This is what we base this ministry on.

As a Christ-follower, my response should be the same as David’s. I’m committed to God, the King of kings, the Lord of lords, the only One worthy of worship. I won’t fear what others might think of me or what they might do to me. I know Who I belong to. I know He’s on my side. The Lord is my Helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? If God is for us, who can be against us? This is unrated. This is uncensored. This is worship. God is God and I am not. He must become more and I must become less.

The Mission…

So, we are asking you to commit a week at a time to doing the Word. Signing up will entitle you to the challenge; some bonus features in being a Christian. Five days a week you’ll receive a short email with a Scripture, a thought, and a mission. Don’t worry, it’s something you can accomplish. All we are going to do is keep The Way simple. It will also encourage you to begin looking at God’s Word differently, challenging you to do something with what He’s teaching you as you read it. Our ultimate response to God’s goodness is worship.
