Week 1 in The Satisfied Soul: Finding True Contentment series. Contentment most likely looks different for everyone, but there are key truths in the Bible on this subject which apply to all of us. To get a better understanding of contentment, we will look at Paul’s letter to the Philippians, beginning in 4:4-7.

Absence of thanksgiving to God in prayer turns off the power in prayer. Without thanksgiving, prayer becomes merely a way of complaining to God about all the bad things that are or might be happening.
